2008 ANNIVERSARIES:

Update from Caro: (4 July, 2008)

Dear BritTrackers,

As some of you have read on the Dragon*Con website we lost Sylvester McCoy recently as a guest. He will be missed at the convention and perhaps since we now know he is interested he will attend another year. *crosses fingers*

Oh a happier note, our programming schedule is almost finished. The final schedule will be up by July 25th.

We look forward to the next year. Stay safe, have fun, and know you are always welcome at the Brittrack.

New Track Room (the sequel)! (15 May 2008)

Yes....believe it or not, we've been relocated again! (I guess that would make it re-relocated). We're now located in the Sheraton in the Valdosta room. There's a couple of pluses about this move.

1. First, our room is super easy to find and get to (once you make it to the Sheraton). When you walk in the first entrance you take an immediate right turn (before stepping into the lobby) and Valdosta is at the end of that hallway on the right.
2. Valdosta is a MUCH BIGGER ROOM! Valdosta seats about 170. So after being moved into a smaller room two months ago, we've now been given a bigger room, which is going to be great with the Guests that we have lined up so far this year!

Anniversaries! (17 March 2008)

This is going to be a big year for BritTrack! Many of our cornerstone shows are having big anniversaries this year. Doctor Who turns a whopping 45, Hitchhikers Guide and Blake's 7 both turn 30, and Red Dwarf turns 20! The BritTrack staff are currently discussing how best to pay tribute to all these milestones. Stay tuned for more!

The website graphics will also be updated to reflect all of this very soon as well.

News from Administration: (2 March 2008)

Hello again! Another year is coming our way here at the BritTrack. New things are in the works and old things are on the decline. Last year was a wonderful year for us. Our numbers sky-rocketed!!! We can't thank you enough for turning out to our little room at Dragon*Con.

As some of you may know, the BritTrack is under new management. In fact we have a practically new staff-ish. With that, next year we will be gaining and losing some staff members. First, I would like to say that Chris Todd will not be back this year and he will be missed. Thank you Chris. Second, his staff position is going to be filled and people are being reviewed for the position.

Additionally, with a new year comes new ideas. We would like to announce that this year we will be officially celebrating the 45th Anniversary of Doctor Who. With that our programming, for this year only, will shift towards the Doctor Who Universe, however we shall continue to maintain panels of other favorite topics. More on this to come as we work on our programming.

This message is to our fans and to those interested in what is going on with the BritTrack programming this year. We are still here and going strong. If you would like to know more about what is going on or have a suggestion about our programming please join our Yahoo! Group.
